my life in boxes
« on: January 24, 2006, 12:29:09 AM »
Today I rented a cargo van and took my 24 boxes across the bay to Alameda, where they will be loaded in an ocean container bound for England.  It was the weirdest feeling to see off all my lifes possesions.  I was driving away and thinking, what if the ship sunk?  That would suck.  I know its not likely to happen, but you still cant help but think it!! :P

Part of me feels like Im losing my identity, selling all my furniture, my car, my business.  I cant wait to get over there and start my life with my wonderful husband, but Im also feeling sad about leaving my friends and family. (mostly friends) Its been so hard doing all this alone while hes at home waiting for me to get there.  Just another month.......I know I can get through it, somehow!

thanks for listening.. :)

I felt the same way. Giving up my own apartment, putting all my belongings in classifieds. It was upsetting because it was all mine. I worked hard to get it and it was all being sold. But as I was standing in the airport I didn't care anymore, because I was finally going home.

Good luck with your move, we have a family guy/american dad night to set up when you get here! ;D
