I have one to beat!  When my kids were 3 (boy) and 5 (girl), I used to sing at our church.  Just me and the organist in front of the congregation.  I usually didn’t bring the kids to church on the Sundays that I was singing unless my husband came,  but on this particular Sunday, my husband had a commitment and the kids had been really good so I decided to bring them with me.  I set them up on the side with plenty of distractions, where I sat in between songs.  I was singing the Gloria, when horror, of horrors, the kids broke out in a fight.  My daughter came running over to me (keep in mind here, I’m singing in front of the church, just me and a lectern, I was very exposed) and then my son, not to be out done, joined her and they start fighting for real.  I was totally powerless, being right in the middle of a song..  the fighting got worse and there were my two darlings, pounding the living daylights out of each other on the floor at the front of the church. it was like a scene from WWF!  I have never prayed so hard for the floor to open up and swallow me whole!!  The second the song was over, I hauled them downstairs and read them the riot act and thankfully, one of the nice ladies came down and looked after them for the rest of the mass.  I went running back up the stairs, just in the knick of time to sing my next part. My kids are now lovely at the ages of 11 and 14 and they haven’t fought for years.  Every now and again, I pull out that story just to emphasise how far they’ve come!

We are sitting on the tube and jess was in one of those stages that every black girl is "Mommy" and every long haired man was "Daddy" and so we are sitting on the tube and it was nice and quiet this long haired chap enters into the train and she yells out the biggest "DADDY!!"  and points at him...I've never seen a white man go sooo white before :o
But never fear, gentlemen; castration was really not the point of feminism, and we women are too busy eviscerating one another to take you on.

I love these stories!  When my dd was potty training, I'd always make a big deal when she went on the potty.  I'd say "Yay! Good job, Haley. I'm sooooo proud of you".  Well, we were at a mall and I had to go, so I took her in the stall with me.  As soon as I went, she starts clapping and yelling "yaaay mommy!  Good job!! I'm  proud of you".  I heard snickers all the way down the hall.  lol.

I have plenty more I could share, but I prefer to keep my dignity in tact.  :D

My husband and son were at the citizenship ceremony, my hubby and son were getting their british citizenship......you know how formal it is. I was trying to keep my son occupied while my hubby was taking the oath and such......at one quiet moment, my son yelled GAR!!! GAR!! his word for car.......everybody looked, and snickered, then when my hubby went to get his certificate, I said 'Look, that's your papa!!' and my son yelled, 'Pappa, Pappa!!' oh my, everybbody was giggling, and my hubby was quite emberassed, and proud as well!!

OMG!  Your children are so creative! ;D  Mine just go for volume half the time.

This story is my favorite embarrassment horror story:

In 2004 my husband and I took our kids to Denmark.  The plane trip over and the vacation there were pretty embarrassment free.  However, as we were flying back, my daughter Annike, then just turned two, choose a particularly bad moment to have an epiphany.  She was sitting next to me watching a kids movie on the monitor screen in front of her when she turns to me and says as though the thought just occurred to her: "Everybody's gonna die!"  This was way out of left field and I am trying to hush her up before the an Air Marshall comes to haul me off as a terrorist suspect.  When she says it again, but quieter, in a little sing-song voice "Everybody's gonna die!"  We're flying over Greenland and I am looking frantically around hoping she's not been overheard.  No one seems to be looking my way, but when I tell DH who's sitting with our other kids across the aisle,  he laughs out loud, which then attracts attention.  We weren't detained as we exited the plane, so I was relieved!
"Mind is the Master power that molds and makes,
And Man is Mind, and evermore he takes
The tool of Thought, and, shaping what he wills,
Brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills:
He thinks in secret, and it comes to pass,
Environment is but his looking glass."
