I'd think that if you told her about your symptoms, they'll get you booked in. The weeing may just be normal pregnancy weeing - so it is a bit subjective. And you do need more to drink as well.

Hope you hear from her soon!

And Britwife is right, they are looking for symptoms, not waiting for you to tell them necessarily. GD is pretty serious if left untreated obviously! But I think it can come on pretty quickly so you're doing the right thing ringing her.

Stacey, what sort of contact numbers do you have for your midwife? I have one for non-urgent messages where they can ring back at their convenience and one for 'emergencies' which is for anything where you want to speak to someone asap. I used that when I woke up with elephant feet - the midwife stopped round 2 hours later!

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I drink at least 4 liters of water a day now if not more, so I am drinking a lot.  I have an emergency number, but I call her bleep (Beeper, I love the work bleep)  She gets back pretty fast usually though.

What did she say, Stacey?

Have not heard back yet, I will try again tomorrow if she is still not in touch.  She could be on Holiday.

She just called back.  She said at 28 weeks I will have a blood test done that will see if there is a rise in sugar, and from there if there is I will have a GTT done.  Sounds reasonable and better then nothing at all being done.  I might also now call my Dr from the summer ask him why he had me take that test and what the outcome was.  I don't recall it costing that much, so I could have him do it for me privately if the other blood test comes out negative.
