UNmarried partner VISA questions?
« on: February 09, 2006, 03:50:52 PM »
I am in the US forces, and have been in UK for past 5-6 years. My partner(fiance) is from London, and we do not want to be forced into marriage too soon for me to be able to stay.

I am leaving the forces in July/August of this year and want to get my stuff straight for the application process. We have been living together for past 2-3 years and recently (5 months ago) opened a join account with Lloyds TSB. I think her name appears on some of our bills at our residence, and I know we have tons of pics from holidays over past 4-5 years. We can get letters from her family showing cohabitation and etc.

What other advice could anyone give us for making the application run smooth. We were engaged over a year ago, but not wanting to rush into marriage yet. ???

It sounds like a fairly straight forward Unmarried Partner visa.  There are lots of threads on here or you can look at www.ukvisas.gov.uk for further info.
