Question about visa interview in London!
« on: March 01, 2006, 01:54:50 PM »
My fiance is in the middle of filling out his application to be sent to London, so they can give him date to come down for the big interview.

Does anyone know how soon after they receive his application that he'll get a date for the interview? Is it under a month?

ALSO... do they approve him right there on the spot in London, or do we have to wait a few weeks AGAIN to hear back from them?

(Just nervous because our wedding date is set for July and I want to make sure everything will be taken care of in time!!!)

It took about six to eight weeks to receive an interview date from the time the paperwork was turned in, and the interview was scheduled about four or five weeks after the date we got the notice.  For July, you should be fiiiiiiiiine!

Thanks!  :) Wow, that's alot of waiting still, but I guess it's worth it.

Do they approve you right there in London, or do you have to wait 6 weeks for that to be sent to you too?  :\\\'(

You get the visa a day or so after you are approved-you leave your passport and they deliver it to you in the next day or so via courier (so be prepared to pay the £10 or so it costs for SMS delivery).
