Cheap flights to Prague & Krakow?
« on: March 24, 2006, 01:27:37 PM »

For some reason I can never find cheap flights to these places (And truth be told, I can never find ANY cheap flights on Easyjet, whereas Ryan Air has been kind to me)...Do you have any ideas? I've tried lastminute.com and easyjet, but I'm not seeing anything less than around £150 roundtrip to Prague (for a long weekend 21 April or the week after).

Maybe I'm just getting spoiled with my £60 roundtrip airfares to Sweden and Germany?

Many thanks,

I agree!

We have flown a number of times with Easy Jet and BA to Prague for under £100.
You need to book months in advance. Also kids are on break over most of April so your choice fares will be long gone.

Thanks. How annoying! I've found that with Ryan Air, it makes little difference as long as you book around a month (or even 21 days+) in advance- at least for the destinations I go to. I traveled around twice a month last summer and booking a month in advance almost always got me their low rates.

The problem that I have with Ryan Air is that most of the airports it flies to are no where near where you want to go, that is why they can offer the low prices.

For instance, when going to Copenhagen, Ryan Air actually flies to Malmo in Sweden and then you have to take a 50 min bus journey back to Denmark.

BTW, off to Prague tomorrow on BA, and looking forward to it.

Try SkyEurope.com.  They fly to both cities from the UK.  Also try FlyCheapo.com.  It's a clearinghouse of low cost airlines around Europe. It can tell you what airlines fly from where to where.

PS. Prague is GORGEOUS. Never been to Krakow but it's on my To Do list.

www.whichbudget.com

there are so many low cost airlines out there it's hard to keep track of them all.  using this site you can see who flies from A to B.  perhaps there's a Eastern European low cost airline that does the route you want?

Great websites and advice, thanks for being so helpful (as usual)!  :)

Now I just have to figure out what the hell I'm going to do for Easter!
