Jewish/Kosher food
« on: March 02, 2006, 05:23:42 PM »
I know there was a thread about this somewhere but I can't find it...

Just thought I would relay what I had found... some very nice cookies/biscuits what ever you want to call them...and they are kosher they also do savory cracker'y things too

They are called Elsa's Story...

Baked in Nahariya
Kosher dairy under the supervision of Rabbinate Nahariya

The cookies I got were Butter Pecan Melts
which kinda reminds me of mexican wedding cookies

www.elsastory.com

they are very VERY nice....

are they like matzo crackers?

we get streitz's over here, the everything version--and they rock. top 'em with the little spreadable soft cheese & bob's your uncle.

No they are cookies and crackers all kind of things
you would just have to look at the website

but they are made under kosher restrictions

I'm not jewish but that is pretty important to them I believe

There's Kosher and there's Kosher for Passover.

Are there kosher foods in regular grocery stores (in the UK)?  I'm going to miss having the ease of a Kosher section here!

I've seen the U (With circle) and K's here in the UK on foods.  Ketchup and mustard are both Kosher here ;)

At the Sainsbury's here in Aberdeen, they carry Manischewitz (sp?) noodles, plus Matzo Balls and crackers, all of which are Kosher. I have also found various immitation meats that are Kosher in health food stores here. Hope it helps!
