So Nervous
« on: March 04, 2006, 11:26:49 PM »
OK, I know Chicago won't get my app until Monday morning, but I still fear - will it be alright that I explained why I was asked to go back to the US?  Not deported, no reference number or paperwork.  Will it be alright that my fiance's parents bank statements are 3 months behind because of the wait for the council permission?  Will my finances, and theirs, be acceptable??  Is it OK that my fiance has benefits fitting his UK citizenship?  Will my CV suffice to say I am willing and can work as soon as legally allowed??  Will I live through the wait?

I know how you feel, I have a million worries, the biggest one being getting a final date. I go thursday to Chicago, they are really nice there but it all terrifies me ;) I have never felt the american english/brit english quite so much as I did there, I was so nervous and trying so hard to make sure I heard them correctly that at times the question just went right over my head  :-\\\\

My fiance's bank statements/payslips are a bit behind too, hopefully they wont mind, it should be up until jan I think.

Hang in there it will be ok :)

I just want to say best of luck.  I know it's nerve wracking, I felt that way as well.  But you are not doing anything wrong, remember that.  You are applying to be with the people you love.  I've seen a lot of people on here who went through the same thing and they got their Visa's just fine.  Just have everything you need with you and think about when you get here and how great it will be.

Remember this next time someone else comes here for support, you will be able to help them and tell them your story.  (Maybe recording it all down will help as well, I know a few people here who have and it helped me so much reading their stories)

Hugs :-*

Believe me, I will always be a part of this forum!!  I will be here if anyone needs any support or *limited* help.  I am soooo very grateful to everyone here, and will always be willing to share my experiences.  Thank you all again, and hopefully I will be on the other side of the 'pond' soon!  :D

Aeonix, I had to apply to Chicago also.  Did you want an appointment, or did they request you to make one?  I filled out my app online and fed -ex'd the documents.  Hope this was right!

added:  got an email today, documents arrived in Chicago, told to give them 5 working days to review them
