How many days before should you send in your on line application form we are hoping to get an appointment at the consulate on the 3rd or 4th may to go in we are going to travel from Boston to try get the visa the same day fingers crossed.

We have been looking at making an appointment we do not want to miss a slot as they seem to be taken quickly, how many days before the appoint would you say was good to send the application in?.

Also anyone who is self employed I have put in stuff from the inland rev and my registration stuff from them and also my bank details and statements will this be enough proof of being self employed I am also doing a 5 year business plan should I put this in also?.I have only just started up so I will only have 3 months bank statements if the bank get them to me on time errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr,

I dont think they let you make an appointment more than 2 weeks in advance, thats the way it seems anyway,  I was hoping to make an appt early but couldnt, they didnt have the dates available yet. Then naturally it took longer to get the application done than I thought and so I ended up having I think 2 days that  I could have gone in, and chose the one furthest out.

So I would say as far as making the appt as soon as you know its 2 weeks before when yuou want to go in make the appointment.

Unfortunately I dont know anything about being self-employed :(

Hello- my fiance is self-employed as well so we sent in 3 months bank statements as well as the last 6 months invoices that he's created for his customers to show proof of income. I have only recently sent in my app so I have yet to hear anything. I will let you know what they come back with

dig that.

i was just about to post the same sort of query.

DF will be here for a visit next week, and we're going to fill out the spousal visa application while here's here & send it off electronically.

we hope to be able to do the interview at the chicago consulate the week following our wedding (6 may), but the website doesn't even let you book anything for april yet!

frustrating!!!  :-\\\\

Thanks so much it would be great if we can get as much info on this as poss.
So far as it is a new business I only have 1 person I do work for but because of everything else I am doing its all I have time for at the  moment once we get back I have other people interested and I am starting a web site nothing fancy but enough to generate some more income I hope.

I am just doing office work from home It gives me the best of both worlds, the site I am setting up is to do with disabilities families and access as this is what I did before moving back up to the midlands, being in the situation we are in there are loads of people who are finding it hard to be with someone they love because getting to each other is such a problem and access to things can be a night mare so I am hoping I can do something that will generate another level of access to people.

Chris also does graphics and that type of thing so at some stage once we are back here he is going to do some stuff on it once he can work and it will be his advertisement it is something I thought I could not do but feel so much better now I am giving it ago I wanted to do this over 2 years ago and now I am, I just hope its enough for the immigration people at the consulate.

Thanks again
