Hmm, don't know what that means either??

I took a look at the list and I would say the 1st one "Abadair House" is in the best area (University area) about a 10 min walk into towne (20 from the train station). Its in a lovely and safe area.

The one's in Streatley and Wargave are also probably very nice (great areas!) but they are a bit out of Reading (15 mins on the train). If you don't have to be in the heart of Reading and the train journey isn't too much, then I would try them (very frequent train service). I would not suggest the one located on Oxford Rd (Tilehurst).  The two on Russell St and the one on Bath are probably ok and close to the Towne Centre (on the west side). The one on Micklands road is a bit out of the towne and you would have to get a taxi to get into the centre (not walkable).

The one on Bath Road I would give a miss. I go by there on the bus into town and it looks noisy and a bit unkempt. But other that that I think Jules has given great advice. :D
I know I'm late - where's the booze?

Twisted...you are right...I always get the not so good one (building) mixed up with the period hotel on Bath. (Don't drive by there often).  Thanks for the clarification.  ;)

I can't recommend any specific B&Bs, but I agree with whoever suggested looking in the university area. I spent a year living in Reading as a uni student and there's lots of nice residential neighborhoods surrounding the campus. I would definitely NOT look anywhere close to the town centre. Reading is a nice place, but there's some pretty dodgy streets in town.
