So much fun!
« on: August 03, 2006, 09:54:02 AM »
I have to admit it...I'm having so much fun planning my wedding, reception and honeymoon.  Today I got a potential menu with pricing..and it's all in my budget!!!  woohoo!  Still have some decisions to make about it, but happy to know that I can have the things I want and still stick in our budget.  As for the honeymoon - I'm loving having options to check out.  I'm such a 'computer geek' that I enjoy doing research on places and hotels and villas, etc.  And as it's till far enough away (in April), I can have fun with it all still.  I'm sure in about another few months I'll be much more stressed and crazy!  But 'til then...just going to enjoy it all!

That's awesome!  It should be fun and not an awful chore.  Our favourite part was deciding on the cake!   ;D

heehee...it's wonderful to hear someone having such a great time with it.  So many women have terrible times with the planning.

We decided on a blueberry pie for our "wedding cake!"  We had made lots of concessions for our families and loved ones about the rest of the celebration, and the wedding cake was one of the last things to be decided, so by that time we were a bit tired of considerring the  opinions of others.  We just thought up what our ideal dessert was, and came to the conclusion that though it would be a bit quirky, we wanted blueberry pie to celebrate our union!  We stuck a daisy in the top of the one we cut, from my boquet.  It was a blast!!!

I'm glad you're enjoying the planning onetiger!

We wanted pumpkin cheesecake because we met on Hallowe'en but the family vetoed it.  Now I wish we'd had the darn cheesecake!!

Glad to see you are enjoying yourselves! That's how it should be, now don't go letting anyone stress you out!  ;D

It is fun isn't it? All of my other friends pretty much had their wedding's planned since they were little girls, but I never really was that excited about it. I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, but boy I sure got into it once I started planning.  ;D

Its so true what they say...you do all that planning and its over so fast. It went by so fast that I didn't even want to take my wedding dress off. I just didn't get to wear it long enough!

I'm the same way, even though I'm usually not a "planner" type person, I tend to like planning the big stuff like the wedding location, the dress, photographer, etc but I hated the little details like getting the flower girl basket and picking out the exact food for every course. And of course when you run into bumps it's easy to stress out so I hope it runs smoothly for you!
