Padding for the travel kennel
« on: July 27, 2007, 03:13:21 PM »
On the way over from the UK I had purchased some of the Dry Fur (www.dryfur.com) pads to put in the cages for my 2 cats and I thought I had bought extra for the trip back to the US but I can't find them. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is best to use as padding (other than newspaper) for the cats plane ride home?

I just used newspaper (under their faux-shearling beds) and my guys made it over just fine. :)  Puppy pads might be good, if you can find them - I've never really looked in the pet stores here!

And I just used a big thick beach towel.  Had no problems there. They didn't even mess.

I used my cat's favourite blanket. I thought he should have something that smelled familiar to him.

Yeah, when we moved I gave each of the boys one of the pillowcases that we'd all been sleeping on every night for a week! :)
