thanks, reeeeka, yeah I can't wait.  i was nervous enough about meeting in person for the first time but now have to add the possible immigration interrogation, i'm going to be a wreck, lol.   [smiley=goofy.gif]

you're welcome! You'll be fine! It's an awesome feeling being together in person...especially that first time.  [smiley=smitten.gif]

Well I made it through Gatwick immigration with no problem! I decided not to stress and did really well with that up until my plane landed. I changed clothes to look a bit more professional, and maintained a confident attitude. It went great! When the IO asked the purpose of my visit, I said I was on holiday visiting a friend. The next question worried me a bit, she asked if I'd been there before to which I replied yes this is my fourth visit. She asked how long I was staying, I said two weeks, she stamped my passport and told me to have a nice stay! I did bring documentation of my return to the US just in case but luckily had no trouble at all this time.  :D

Good for you!...I think since now I can get a return to work letter I'm going to say visiting my boyfriend. If I do say "on holiday visiting a friend" and they have to call him and he says were together then they'll wonder why i lied -nods-  ::) Lol I was all set on what I was gonna say and now I'm wondering again!

Goodness, I always say I'm there to visit a boyfriend. And I look like rumpled crap. And my passport if full of stamps from Heathrow. Only once did someone say, "you aren't here to get married, are you?" And I said "no, no...I know you can't do that," and that was the end of it.

Maybe they wave me through because I'm old.

One time, when they asked the purpose of my visit, I said, "two weeks of mad, passionate sex." and I'm pretty sure the guy shuddered like he'd bitten into a lemon  ;)

LOL well I had a bad experience last time through Birmingham so just wanted to make sure I did whatever I could to feel confident and not look like a nervous wreck when I got to the IO. I have no clue if it helped or not, but I do think when you feel good you carry yourself in a different way so it just made me feel better about the whole situation.
