Well, if you aren't in York then you'll have a bit of a drive.....
However, it would be well worth it because this week I found La Langue.....
Anyone else from York been there?
It is catty corner from the National Trust coffee shop, across the street from Boye's -can never remember street names....
It is an Italian run deli/coffee shop/eatery... I noticed it and wanted to try it but no chance of getting a stroller in there. My husband checked it out and came back with some amazing parma ham, a cheese that I can only describe (needless to say cheapies like us bought and ate 6 pounds worth in one night). It was like a mix between feta, a soft goat cheese and was in olive oil with little roasted red peppers and herbs, it was divine. I want to try everything in there. They have lunches where you can test the cheese and meats and spreads (blacktruffle/artichoke/mushroom) on fresh ciabatta bread. We are going on a date next week....will keep you posted. They have a cheese on the top of the counter and I could just dive into it head first!
I am now trying to devise recipes where I can use the lovely soft cheese.
It's such a cute tiny place.
