Spousal visa - Invitation from sponsor
« on: April 25, 2006, 01:42:49 PM »
Hi everyone,

My wife is applying for her settlement visa in New York this week.  This may sound rather stupid but my (i.e the sponsor's) invitation has to be addressed to my wife, rather than to the consulate, correct?  It just seems a bit surreal typing an official "This letter is to formally invite you to settle with me in the United Kingdom" type letter to my wife.  Also, are there any other points I need to make in the letter?

*edit* And must the invitation be hand-written?

Many thanks!

Tim

It really doesn't matter who it is addressed to or if it is handwritten.
