We've booked our honeymoon spot!

This was a big accomplishment for us.  We have been throwing around several different locations in Europe and throwing around some different dates because future DH and I are getting married in the states and then everyone else in his office had taken off the week after our wedding for their own holidays, so we had to put off our honeymoon for at least a week!  No big deal really.

Anyway, we just booked flights to Prague, Czech Republic!  We leave on August 14th and return to London on August 18th.  We're going to stay for 4 nights at a 5***** hotel!  We've both always been interested in visiting Prague and we're really excited.

Have any of you ever been?  What would you recommend as "must-see" attractions?

I'm so thrilled this is one more thing to tick off the seemingly never ending wedding to-do list!!

Prague is beautiful!  Its been five years since I went.  We spent several nights in Prague and then headed to a small village about 2 hours away for a friends wedding.  That was amazing.  But back to Prague, def see Prague Castle & St. Charles Bridge.  Heres a cool site I found, give you lots of details on what to see!  http://www.prague.cz/

I'll second Prague as a fab destination! Like jennredd, I haven't been in 5 years so I am sure it is nice and touristifed (not that that is a bad thing necessarily) as it was getting there even then.

The guidebooks pretty much say it all. Have a read and follow their suggestions and take your time to stroll around. There is so much to see. Check out Pet?ín hill too. Take the funicular up and walk down. There are some great views up there. Charles Bridge at night is excellent too.

There are some nice daytrips outside of Prague too.

My favorite was ceský Krumlov. I don't remember it taking as long as the directions said but totally worth the journey out there. It's a gorgeous little town UNESCO listed.

I also went to Kutná Hora but liked ceský Krumlov better.

I loved Prague!  My fiance & I went there and stayed at a 5* - it was the most amazing hotel experience ever...found a Lush in town and used the GINORMOUS bath each day!

We enjoyed Old Town, just walking through back streets, the castle...and the food & beer is cheap and yummy!
