Finally got it! Worried for nothing :)

Funny how things work out... just when I was really starting to freak out over not having my passport yet, it arrived yesterday via Fedex   Weeeee, I especially love the big black type that says "BRITISH CITIZEN"   Now it really feels real... and the countdown to July 6th is gonna seem even longer lol.

I noticed it has the little chip thingy in the back... it's one of the new biometric ones.  Does this chip contain only the information that is listed in my passport or does it have other info like perhaps some of the stuff that was listed on my passport app?  Just curious.  For all I know it could contain my mother's rice pudding recipe lol.

Anyway, thanks to all for indulging my paranoia and for the encouraging messages. 

hey congratulations! I am just about to start the process myself. Just printed off the application form yesterday. Any tips or encouraging words are most welcome!!

The only tip I can offer is to pay extra to get express shipping with delivery confirmation, tracking, the whole shebang.  It is worth it just to have the peace of mind that your documents arrived there all safe and sound.  Also, if you're a first time applicant, you may need to provide more documentation than what is listed on the notes pages.  In my case they sent my documents back after a couple of weeks stating they needed to see my marriage certificate as proof of my name change.  So if you're in doubt of what to send, just send it all.  It will help speed up the process if they need more info from you.
