Travel agent questions
« on: May 07, 2006, 02:01:38 PM »
Here's the backstory:
Next November my family is going to Mexico for Thanksgiving, my mom thought of the idea that Jamie and I have our "other" wedding there. Since my family didn't make it to our first wedding last June, I want to have one that they can attend. Plus I finally want our families to meet. Anyway. They're all in America and Jamie's family is in England.

Now, I'm guessing they're going to book as one group, since there's 14 of them going. Jamie's side will have a few people too and hopefully most of our friends. I would like to book it with the same people my family is so we can book as one big group. To me, it seems more organised this way, so we can make sure we get the same hotels and so something can't screw up. Can people outside of the US book with a US travel agent?

Happyutopia,

I am sure people outside of the US book with a US travel agent specially if it is a "group".  But also you can book everything with a Mexican travel agent.  There are plenty of businesses in Mexico that do the "wedding abroad" arrangements, from tickets, reservations, ceremony, party, honeymoon.. everything! You do not mention where in Mexico you are planing to wed, but I am sure it is going to be in one of those turisitic sites with plenty of "wedding abroad" happenings. You shouldn't have a trouble finding some agent in Mexcio to make all the arrangements.

It's going to be in Riviera Maya..

I figured! It will be very easy for you to plan a wedding  in the Riviera Maya.  Just do a simple google search ("wedding in Mexico") and you will find many wedding planners. This is just an example:  http://www.weddingmexico.com/

Good luck!
