Properties of Coke

Just remembered this, because mil burnt rice onto a pan bottom. Boiling coke, enough to just cover the burnt on food, and then simmering it for a few minutes, will remove all that cooked on food. I learned this watching Kim and Aggie!!

Putting baking soda and water over it and boiling usually works, too.  It always did for me, at least.
