Sponge cake?
« on: May 16, 2006, 05:13:44 PM »
I wanna make a sponge cake, and I am following this recipe,

http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/a-classic-sponge-cake-with-passion-fruit-filling,1127,RC.html

but I don't have cake(sandwich)pans, and I am going to try to do it in a loaf pan. Would that work? Thanks!

I have a nine inch loaf pan, and it's about three or four inches high. The kind you would do a meat loaf in. I'm just wondering if I should put all the mix in, or just half, and bake it in two batches.
