You got 2p to get to Leeds?
« on: May 29, 2006, 04:48:34 PM »
Jamie and I are going to Leeds on Friday. We're going to spend one night there. Does anyone recommend any hotels that don't cost an arm and a leg? We don't want to stay in a roach motel, but then again we don't need anything like the Ritz.

My brother & SIL stayed one night here:

It's not at all fancy, but it's right by Leeds station.  If night life/city centre noise and/or if hot weather (no A/C) bothers you, you might not like it.  But I think it's one of the cheaper city centre options.

If you don't mind something a bit outside of Leeds city centre, you could probably find a B&B.

I would avoid the Ramada Jarvis on the outskirts, I found the room unbelievably stuffy and when I opened the window all I could hear was traffic as the hotel was right on a massive roundabout.

Bed was comfy enough, decor was really dated and a little a/c would have been nice.
