That's exactly how I felt! The fact was that my cat was coming with me -- no question. So I figured there was no point stressing over the money. I just had to pay it and not think too much about it afterwards.

And that's how I think about it every time she gets sicks (she's prone to BAD ear infections).  When you love something so much, you'll pay whatever is necessary!

You'll probably see my other post, but I just wanted to say that I didn't end up paying any extra fee once I got to Manchester, so I think its something to do with flying into London.

I just called the Manchester reception center and was told that I won't pay them anything.  Maybe its because you flew into London?  BMI says the UK import fee is only 50 pounds.

Do you happen to still have that number handy? I'd like to call and see if I can get the # for the heathrow and gatwick centers. Maybe a call will make it a bit clearer.

thanks! :)

we're paying $1500 CAN to ship our two cats over.  When I called BA to find out their quote, they told me $3000!

I called Virgin and BA yesterday with my cats carriers for a quote:
Virgin wanted 1, 600 USD (give or take since I didnt have the dimensions on the 3rd carrier and its quoted by volumetric weight) and BA quoted me 2650.

Either way it's going to cost me an arm and a leg, but I figure it's worth it since I love them!
