Tipping at an All Inclusive

We are leaving Wednesday for Jamaica and are beyond excited! We are staying at Sandals Whitehouse and know that Sandals has a "no tipping" policy, which I am not crazy about. I have read posts on another forum where some people say that they have tipped discreetly. Others have said that you should bring small gifts like soap, shampoo, body oil and school supplies to give as gifts to house keeping and others. I am afraid that this seems a bit patronizing.
Just wondering if anyone here has been to an AI resort and what their tipping experience was.

My uncle and (now ex) aunt got married there. My grandparents also went for the wedding. I remember them saying they had a stash of $1 bills to give descreely as tips.

We were in Jamaica last November at the Sandals in Montego Bay. (The Grand Caribbean, I think?)

Anyway Rich tipped the guy who drove us there as well as the guy who brought us to our room as I recall.  I reminded him after that he was not supposed to.  But the guys seemed happy enough to take the tips

I think he also tipped his diving instructor, but I'm not sure.  He was with him a lot that week getting certified.

I would not worry about it though.  Most people did not tip there at all.
