Seems I've been emailing the embassy quite often these days and the replies are quick, concise and accurate.... Ummm, no mention of my nifty friend who's name I won't mentioned ((hmmm,ummmm**aaahchooAndy**sniff))) who has seems to givem me some misinformation.
Here's some information that I found off of this site

These photographs must have a white background and must be glossy, unretouched, unmounted, and identical. The dimension of facial image should be about 1 inch from chin to the top of the hair; the subject should be shown in 3/4 frontal view showing the right side of face with the right ear clearly visible. No earrings should be worn.
