Can anyone recommend a GOOD steak house in London?  I have been craving a thick, juicy, steak done properly!

According to some folk on this site, there is no such thing in this country.  ::)
Sorry i dont have any recommendations for you in London... but whatever you do... DO NOT go to one of those Angus Steak House places.  I've heard they are really, really bad.

Chez Gerard are good for steak and frites, but might not quite be meaty enough!!!

Definitely don't do Angus Steakhouses or other similar places...they are all tourist traps.

There's a couple Outbacks in the London area, if you liked those in the States.  There's one in Wandsworth (probably the closest), and another out in Staines.

I would recommend Sophie's Steakhouse & Bar 311-313 Fulham Road SW10  It has a New York feel to it and the steaks are great.

Black and Blue is my fav.  Simple simple menu.  All sorts of cuts of steak, served with salad and chips.   There are locations in Kensington (between High Street Ken and Notting Hill Gate), Belsize Park, Gloucester Road and Marylebone.

Other good options are the Argentinian steak places - Gauchos or Guacho Grill.  I know there is one in Hampstead and one near Liverpool Street Station.

There's a Gaucho Grill in Glasgow... good steaks, and lots of interesting toppings/sauces for the steaks.

The Rotisserie on Upper Street in Islington.  At least they were good a few years back when I was living there.

I SO want a steak right now!  I haven't had a good steak in ages.  I told my father the other day that I expected steak for dinner upon my arrival home.  Luckily, we're big red meat eaters so that request won't be a problem!   ;D
