In all my valiant searches of Gumtree, Spareroom, and FlatmateClick, I have finally secured a place to live through my OWN volition - a property listed on the uni's scheme of off-campus housing. I basically just need to send final confirmation & PayPal my deposit and - voilá - I have an address for my visa application
. I'm still a little hesitant, but I guess that's just practical caution. It's hard to commit your life & money for at least 6 months to a place you haven't seen before, but that's actually what I've been trying to do all along (find a place before I flew over). I do know the location (which isn't excellent, but decent), that it's furnished (with washer/dryer!), and the other housemate are fellow female postgrads. The price is right, too. (it's cheaper than uni halls)
I guess I should go for it, eh? Apparently there's a little competition for the rooms, so I don't want to let this pass me by while I hesistate.
Opinions?
