Does anyone know if a US game for PS2 will play on the UK Playstation?  Also, someone has said that PS2s are region free.......is that true?

My DH owns a store where they sell playstation 2,  x box game, xbox 360 games. he said it no American games will work on a UK playstaion 2 unless you have a converter for the UK playstation 2.  just like American dvd's wont play on UK dvd players unless you have a region free dvd player. AMERICAN GAMES ARE NTSC & UK GAMES ARE PAL.  also PS2  games arent region free.

I believe its the PSP games that are region free!

Your right PSP games are region free,  but PSP movies arent region free though. DH  said American PSP movies wont play on a UK PSP.

If you have a UK PSP you can play movies bought from Europe, Japan, Middle East, Egypt,  South Africa & Greenland.

Thanks.  OH, well, there goes that idea.  I guess that we won't be bringing videos with us.
