Silly question

I returned to college in the states at an older age than "most" people do but there are several my age and older..no big deal.I want to continue my education after we move and wondered what the opinions of an "older student" are there..it wont stop me I just want to know what I'm in for!!

I was an "older" student, and did not find it any different going from uni in the states to uni in Scotland.  I was lucky enough to find two other "mature" students in the same program as myself though.

Do you know alot about Melrose?That's where my husband hoped we would be moving but it looks like it will be London.

I've been to Melrose in the Scottish borders if that is what you mean.  It is really quite nice in that whole area.  Of course, coming from small-town USA, almost everthing in the UK is wonderful.

I'm in Edinburgh, and have not done too much traveling to London, though I've traveled extensivly in other areas of Engalnd.  

Have you decided on a University to attend yet?  Or do you know when you are headed over?

That's the Melrose I'm talking about!We are headed over in April and thought I would decide on which University after we get settled.I'm an Art major so I'm sure there are several options in London.My husband and I are big on tracing our genealogy and tracing my husbands will take us to Edinburgh on a visit at some point!

Well, now that you know a fellow "yankee" is there, you'll have to look me up come the time!!

The age when you decide that getting blind drunk on a thrice-weekly (or more!) basis might actually be a BAD idea, and have some far-reaching and detrimental effects upon your grades.

The less cheeky answer would be: you are attending university at an age when most other students have graduated and are working to pay off student loans.  (Repeat after me: would you like fries with that?!)  LOL

But this doesn't count for postgraduate work...  that just makes you age quicker!

I thought the whole point of going back to study was a way to become wiser...not more mature...  I know I don't want to mature!

It's good for red wine and some cheeses!

Though I agree with the not drinking as much part!
