Nelsons Diner
« on: September 03, 2006, 10:04:20 AM »
Just got back from spending some time in the Basingstoke area and came across this cute little place.  Nelsons Diner is on the Newbury Road in Kingsclere (the main A339), the food is good, for an American it maybe isn't as authentic as we are used to (ie, pancakes are ok, not quite like home, but better than UK version and the bacon isn't crispy).  However, the place itself is worth a trip, well decorated, looks very much like an old time diner,,,oh, and she refills the coffee cups!

I did notice that she was looking for a part-time cook,,maybe she could use an UK-Yankee to help her out!

Cool!  Thanks for that!  I love the American Flags on all the food!

Looks very cool and I come from the Land of Diners, New Jersey.
Do they have cheese fries and gravy?  A true diner side dish.
