Ive used sainsburys because I like the selection there of some stuff better. I was pleased with the service, if you order before 2pm, you can get it next day providing the time slot is free. Dont know about asda, everytime I go in there, I usually find that it is not as well stocked as tesco or sainsburys.

I have used Tesco, Sainsbury & Ocado (waitrose) home delivery.   Ocado is the best at delivering on time and not making subsititions, but they are more expensive than the othe two and don't seem to have as much variety (but it is over a year since I last used them so don't know if any of that has changed).   Tesco & Sainsburys both substitue a lot and often with a more expensive product and yes they charge you the higher price (Ocado charges you the cheaper price).  Haven't used Asda home delivery as they don't deliver in our area but I do shop there for some things and find their fresh produce is very good quality and cheaper than the other supermarkets.

I use Sainsburys regularly.  I do have substitutes, but when they do, they are sensible.  They are generally on time and when they aren't, you get a £10 voucher for your next shop.

I cant believe I didnt do online shopping sooner. Its wonderful. Especially with a baby because I'd always have to wait until Dale has a day off to do shopping because pushing a buggy and a shopping cart, isn't possible!
I'll try Sainsburys next week and see how I like them!

I've only used Sainsbury's online shopping (haven't tried Tesco or Asda yet), but I really liked them...  Delivery was on time, and there was only one substitution.  I think you can specify no substitutions if you want...
When I am grown-up I will understand how BEAUTIFUL it feels to administrate my life effectively.

Until then I will continue to TORCH all correspondence that bores me and to dance NAKED over the remnants of its still glowing embers.

Sainsburys are my favourite supermarket, but they dont deliver to my area.
My only choices are Tesco and Asda.
Asda are cheaper, but... for some reason i wasnt happy with them, and i cant remember why.  (havent used them in a long time now.)

No Waitrose stores in this part of the world, sadly.  :(

So that leaves Tesco... love them because they almost always make a mistake which is in my favour (such as bringing a litre of vodka, or a bag of courgettes and not charging for it!)... you can ask them not to substitute anything, so no worries there.
Also, they hand you the list and point out what items have been substituted, and if you dont like any of the subs, you can hand them back to the driver and they refund your account.

AND... he takes away all your old plastic carrier bags!  :)

I use Sainsbury's, another UKY member showed me how easy it was to do.  The time online shopping saves his helpful.  I have also used Ocado, they have had great items to offer.  Ocado was late by 10 minutes and the man took £15 off my order.

We use Asda exclusively.  They're always on time and the delivery guys are friendly and helpful.  They point out substitutions (which are fairly rare...maybe a couple of products per month) and they're usually perfectly acceptable (i.e., a different flavour of the same product).  DH always finds £10 voucher codes online, so we almost always get a discount or free delivery.  I've never had a problem with things arriving too close to their expiration dates (though I generally don't pay much attention to them anyway  ;)) and the produce is good.

It probably just all boils down to the specific store.  I know some people have had bad experiences with Asda, but our local distribution centre is great.   :)

We have used Sainsbury's a few times now and really liked them.  Delivery is on time or early and the drivers are always polite and really nice.  They even brought my order to my kitchen when I was pregnant :)

I've been meaning to use Ocado too, because I love Waitrose, but I have not had the chance.
