Help! Can anyone recomend a good Tapas Bar
« on: August 25, 2006, 04:02:33 PM »
I have been planning a surprise tomorrow for my husbands birthday, which included dinner at a Tapas Bar (he has always wanted to go) in London. I was planning on taking him to the only one that I have been to, Navarros.....but just found out they are closed for renovations.  [smiley=smash.gif] So now I am trying to scramble and find another one. Can anyone recommend a good Tapas Bar in London. I've got tickets to Avenue Q at 8:30 near Leicester Square, so preferably not too far from there. Thanks!

Kim

There is one in Soho I've been to but I can't recall the exact name, it's at the top end of Old Compton St, Espana or something orignal like that.

The one inside Harrod's is pretty good, but if I remember, just as over-priced as the rest of the store.  They did have the most killer olive appetizer/snacker thing...mmmmmmmm.

I've also been to one in Kingston, but I can't remember the name of it.  The service was appalling, but the food was EXCELLENT.  Doubt you'll want to go that far out of your way, but it's what I remember :).

He'll have to try Tapas another time. I couldn't decide on one so I ended up taking Josh to a Churrascaria. It was yummy and we had a great time. Thanks for the suggestions!
