Hi all,

From what I understand the US Associate's Degree is very similar to the UK Foundation Degree if not considered the same.

I realize that in the UK most if not all BA programs are 3 year courses.  Do you think I can use my Associate's Degree to begin either second or third year of UK BA Degree?  Does that make sense what I am asking?

How would it work with a Foundation Degree or is that an entirely different situation?

I will have my Associate's Degree in Sociology this December and was thinking to pursue a BA in Sociology at a UK Uni  afterwards.

What say you?

I have done some brief looking at this. I was 3/4 of my way through my associates degree before I moved to the UK. The Open University doesn't give credit unless you have a BA. You would probably need to check specific schools.
