Traveling in Feb & JetBlue
« on: February 03, 2004, 02:24:28 AM »
Hello all,

Just wanted to know if anyone is outbound from Gatwick to Houston IAH on Monday Feb 9. Mart and I are off for a visit for a few days to see my mom and to finish processing Mart's CR-1/IR-1. Its green card time!! Woohoo!! Oh and we're returning IAH to Gatwick on Feb 19/20 (overnight). Drop me a line if you'll be on one of our flights :)

Also, I wanted to reccomend JetBlue airways (http://www.jetblue.com) for your internal US flights. Theyre cheap and cheerfull with very good service and Direct TV in every seat. I fly with them every time I arrive at JFK, continuing on to Buffalo. Their flight times fit in very well with Virgin and BA's. JetBlue's routes are expanding all the time so you might just find your destination / departure point is covered by them. Example prices: JFK to Buffalo - $46.00 - $60.00 one way. If youre traveling with BA using JetBlue to connect you, you're in luck as the terminals at JFK are right next to eachother. Its an easy walk (even with a luggage cart) between the terminals - about 5 -7 minutes.

Btw, Im not making cash off my sales pitch here. I just really love JetBlue and I want to share it with my fellow travelers.

Best wishes,
Sarah

Just pitching in with you to agree about JetBlue.  And I'm not on their payroll either  ;D

Have a good visit!

I checked out the site - thanks for that! I always thought Southwest was the best for internal US flights - now there is a competitor  :)

My son flew with them...I had to arrange a flight for him from Florida to DC. I was able to book the whole thing online, pick his seat and meal choice...and I could have chosen his in-flight entertainment, but I thought I'd leave that up to him...so gave him the URL link to his reservation.

Also, something very important. They don't let you go to the gate anymore, so I was freaking out, wondering how I would get to him to meet him at the gate. No probs. They gave me a pass and it was very easy! Same with taking him to the gate.

I agree about JetBlue, though I've never flown with them, they have great attitude.
