Notifications/What to do when leaving
« on: September 13, 2006, 01:44:52 PM »
My husband has accepted a job in another country - not the US so we're not repatriating but I guess the question is the same regardless of where we go. I am here on ILR. Do I need to do anything official when we leave (IND etc?). Also, my husband (UKC) has been getting Child Benefit for our daughter. How do we tell them that he is leaving the country?

Any advice is appreciated.

For the child benefit you just phone or write to the inland revenue and tell them. You will need to give them your husband's national insurance number.  Your husband can also claim a tax rebate. You don't need to do anything in regards to the ILR/IND.
