bank accounts in scotland who to choose?

I am about to start working and need a bank account.
I have read so much that at this point I can't remember what I have read.
I need an account of course with good customer service and lower fees

I have heard and read horror stories about trying to open an  account and having great difficulty.

I want low fees, overdraft facilities and the ability to start some credit here.

any suggestions?

I tried to open accounts at multiple branches and ALL of them were headaches except for Clydesdale Bank. The application was quick and easy and I had my card within a week. Everyone else was telling me 7 to 10 days just to process and they would let me know if my application was accepted. Check them out and see what you think....
