Hi there and welcome!

I am not in the UK, but will be (fingers crossed) by years end. It's that or NY.

I too am a people person and love to be around all sorts of folks so I know where you are coming from on that front.

So how are you finding the UK?

Hi and welcome to the site.  Glad to have you.  Ok here's what you do, pull up a chair and settle in - there's a huge amount here to catch up on. But we are all eager to know more about you.  Where are you from in the states?  How was your move?  Are you there for love?  Where abouts are you in England?  Talk to you soon.  But most of all welcome.  I think you'll like it here.

hi there from a fellow NY'er! I'm from upstate a bit- 60 miles north of NYC. Glad you found the site- it's a great place- I had been been here for about a year when I stumbled upon it myself! I wish I had found it sooner! My hubby and I were in London until recently and now are in the country! To echo Kizmet, where are you located?

Looking forward to hearing more from you! Welcome!
Jen

It's nice to have another New Yorker on the site - welcome!  I'm from Lawn Gyland myself :)

PS - Hope you're a Mets fan.......

Welcome!  Don't worry, you're not the only one that didn't settle right in.  Took me 2 years before I was able to even begin to consider myself somewhat at home here.  It's a very individual thing...but if you hang in there long enough and keep a positive attitude, it does happen eventually!

There's lots of friendly faces here and (most) of us are safe enough to meet offline.  ;)

Check out the meetings thread, and just jump right in!  We're glad to have you here and hope to see you around lots!   ;D

Hiya and welcome! I'm sure you'll find some people with common interests near you and if not, I think the people here can certainly help you adjust.

To be honest, I've been here just over 3 years and still haven't met many people "like me" but then again I'm not really much of a people person.  I do wish I knew about this site when I first moved, though!!  :-/
