My DH is the king of bargins,,,he loves finding a "deal"! Yesterday morning he was really excited because he found a 4* room in Torquay for £9.99! Yep, £9.99,,,so he booked it and confirmed with the hotel that the price was correct, so we spent a lovely afternoon in Torquay. Did I mention that this was only 4 miles from my house?? We used the excuse that at that price we would check it out and if any one needed a place to stay and we didn't want them,,,then we could easily recommend the Grand Hotel!
It really was nice, didn't have a seaview, but that didn't really matter. Had dinner in the restaurant which was wonderful! Plus, they gave us £10 off voucher for each dinner, so a 4 course £30 meal was £20.
