rental car question
« on: December 31, 2006, 07:19:28 PM »
Can anyone who lives in the uk, who went to visit america, please tell me the skinny on rental cars? Im 24 and husband is 23, so I know I will probably pay more, but what all do I need to do, which companies are best, etc?
thanks!

I just came back last week. I rented a car from Enterprise because they were the cheapest for the kind of car I wanted but turns out they had a shortage of the car I wanted so upgraded me to a full size for the same cost as I was prepared to pay for the cheapy. They were very nice also. Picked me up from the airport, loaded our bags on the bus and met us in the office with bottles of water.
I went with Dollar last time. They were OK but prefer Enterprise.

Many rentals don't rent to under-25-year-olds, so you might have to do quite a bit of research.
