Thanks everyone for all the helpful tips and pointers! My first inclination actually was to just hire a car when I needed one, but I couldn't find a company that would hire to me cos I'm only 22. But when I found out what all the extra fees/charges are of owning a car, I decided to do a bit more searching. I think I've found 2 different companies (small ones though) that will rent to people 21 and over. So I'm going to go and check one out this weekend and see how I like it, maybe just go from there! I really appreciate all the advice though!
