If you are halving the recipe, do you have half the cooking time too?

I think it would depend on what exactly you were cooking.  If you were just cooking a stew or something you'd probably lower the time quite a bit, but if it's a smaller roast you'd most likely still need most of the time to get the internal temp safe to eat.
