I'm getting married in about 2 months and I have to admit that it's on my mind all the time too.  But I purposely have purchased a few fun to read books, have made plans outside of 'wedding stuff' and when we go on dates, my fiance and I have a pact NOT to talk about wedding stuff.  I think it helps that I blog all my worries and happy stuff that happens.

Happy wedding planning!

Before my wedding, I had it on the brain all the time--was I forgetting to do stuff, etc.?  I'd wake myself up in the middle of the night and remember something and have to get up to write it down.  I like onetigers suggestion about reading fun books.  Go out with friends and try to keep your mind off it.  But it's an exciting time in your life, so don't worry about thinking about it too much--it's what we do as women :)

Wait until you get pregnant and see the things you start to think and worry about  ;)

Well.....currently, I do work at a bookstore, so its easy to get some books(I have loads already!) And yea, i know what you mean about waking up and thinking about things that need to be done, etc....ARGH! hehe

I love the organizational factor of the wedding process and reaching goals, but ultimately look forward to "being married" and settled with my boo.

And as for the pregnancy thang....that will be me when Im 30! :o

Believe me..I'm so ready for all the wedding things to be done.  While excited about them all, having to plan a wedding & reception in the States, a potential wedding & reception over here, a drinks night over here to celebrate, a honeymoon and going to India to meet the fiance's family is driving me mad!!!  I can't wait for 2008 when it's all OVER!

Onetiger--Wow, you definitely do have a lot going on! We really enjoyed all of the wedding festivities, but were also so glad for it all to be over. I know there are people who get depressed after their wedding, but we definitely didn't feel that way. Life since the wedding has just gotten better and better.

Good luck to everyone with their plans!

Yea...I'm in two minds as well. I just wanna be married, but also I want to enjoy the process of getting there as much as I can! I've been majorly organizing this end of the pond, in regards to the wedding, reception, egging my mom and sis to coordinate the shower, and my sis to plan the bachelor/ette deal the weekend before the wedding,...PLUS 10-20 peeps from the UK will be venturing over for the festivities, so I am needing to figure out things to do, eg. Taste of Chicago, Navy Pier, Fireworks, 4th of July bbqs?, Six Flags/Great America, Medieval times, and just a general day in Chicago, shops, and so on! So, really needless to say, my head is swarming with so many things to do!

Now, in a week, I will be heading over to the UK to visit my fiance, my kits that I have missed for 6 months, help compose guest lists, invites for the UK reception to be held in August, help in house projects to prepare for Jassen's family to visit....

*exhales*

Then after the wedding, and the moving over to the UK in July, and the reception, it will be time for me to find a job!
