Applying for my provisional driving license
« on: January 28, 2007, 02:05:59 PM »
Hi all

I've been over here for over 5 months now and am finally going to apply for my provisional driver's license. My question is, how long will the DVLA take to process it? The worry is that I have to send off my passport, and while I'm in the process of maybe getting a job (had the interview that week, am shortlisted and will know next week) I'm wondering if I should wait until I know if I get this job before I send off my passport. I have a spousal visa, so obviously my future employer will want to see my passport to verify that I can work here, so I'm not sure whether or not to put if off again until I hear about the outcome of this job application... ???

Thanks. I think I may just wait until I hear about this job...that way I won't need my passport back immediately, in case it takes longer.
