Sophie kind of ignores cows, although she does mutter under her breath a lot.

Also, people might want to check out their local Ramblers club.  Here's a link to the national organisation:

I hear good things about it.  DH and I just tend to do our own thing though.  We are 'planning' (cringe) to walk the Dales Way next June, as a holiday.  I keep asking him how 8 days of pain & exhaustion is supposed to qualify as a holiday? ::) ???

Sounds good. Scarily my weekends are all pretty well taken before then. But I would definitely be interested once things slow down after the New Year.

I know I said I'd be starting a walking club after the new year but things have been a little crazy.  The job I just got is shift work so I don't know how it's going to work yet.  I would still love to do some walks here and there but they'd have to be scheduled in advance.  Things don't always turn out like we planned  :-\\\\
