Moving with Cats in Under 6 Months
« on: March 01, 2007, 07:56:45 AM »
We are moving from California to the UK in four months and we just found out.  I've researched the PETS scheme and we have an appointment tomorrow to start the vaccinations and blood work but obviously we will be moving before the six months.  Does anyone know if they can spend their remaining two months in quar. or do they still have to do an entire 6 month go at it?

They can spend two months in quarantine.  It just has to be six months after the blood draw before they'll release them into the country.

Don't forget the microchip, if you pet doesn't already have one.

You could also leave them with friends in California for the final two months, and then have them fly over on their own later.

To be honest, this could possibly work out cheaper as quarantine is soooo expensive
