Looking for craft supply store in South Wales

Has anyone seen a large arts & crafts supply store (like Michaels, or even Jo-ann's) in South Wales? I could have sworn I saw one while riding along about a month ago, but I forgot to make a note of the name or location. I think it was called something like Craft World, but I'm not sure. Any help would be super appreciated!

You're in Bridgend, right?  If so, there is a big one near there that my MIL goes to.  She's calling tonight and I'll ask for you.

H2B told me about Hobbycraft, but I could have sworn that I saw something a bit closer. Then again, we've been driving around quite a lot-- it could have been more in West Wales, than South. Hm...

On the other hand, I still haven't really adjusted to the mapscale, here. Newport looks like it's 2 hours away, but chances are, it's only an hour...

I think it's less than 30 miles from Bridgend - according to Google Maps, anyway!

LOL!  Yeah, DF and I randomly wound up in North Wales the other day (we live in Middlesbrough) and he was all like "I can't believe we just drove to Wales" and I had to tell him, "you know, the distance we just drove wouldn't even have taken us over the state line into Alabama, if we were at home...."

Spoke to the MIL.  She said that the nearest big one is the HobbyCraft in Newport.  But there is a smaller craft store in Bridgend that you may or may not have discovered yet.  It's called Lee's and it's in Bridgend town centre.  My husband says to tell your H2B that it is opposite where Burger Master used to be, there is a butcher next door.  It is in a tiny arcade up towards Wilkinson's (not in the main arcade).

I'm not in South Wales (close but no cigar) - and I have found that Hobbycraft is sadly lacking. I find the best shops are the mom and pop shops in villages.

Hobbycraft is (at least the Bristol one) is filled with stamps, card making and other crafts that I don't personally find *crafty*.  But to each his own.

Try your surrounding villages....
