Help with mini blow torch!!
« on: March 17, 2007, 03:03:25 PM »
I have the butane and am trying to fill my new kitchen blow torch, but all that's happening is that I'm ending up with stinky butane-covered hands. The instructions are beyond useless, so that's no help. Does anyone have one? I need advice!!

(Mine is a Hotery CT-3000 Cooking Torch.)

No advice, I'm just pleased that you bought a new kitchen gadget that I can play with next time I see you!  :P

Have you got the right attachment on the butane canister to fit your torch?  You need to find the right one or the butane will spill - says Andrew who uses a Zippo lighter.

It came with a bunch of little red rubber/plastic attachments, but I've tried all the ones that look to be the right size. Maybe I should just try all of them.

Andrew says try 'em all.  You'll know when it stops leaking you've got the right one.

He's done that a few times himself.
