Anyone have the Scooba by iRobot??
« on: January 18, 2007, 10:32:29 AM »
I have a Roomba (robotic vacuum) and I'm learning to live without it (users manual states it shouldn't be used with converters of any type  :\\\'( ). We loved her so much that yes, she even has a name compliments of my daughter.  We call her Light.

However, I ABSOLUTELY HATE MOPPING MY FLOORS!!!  So...I'm considering buying the mopping/scrubbing version of the Roomba called the Scooba.  But I'm curious to know if it's worth it.  Anyone got one?  Would love to hear what ya think of it...

Thanks!

My sister has one and is in love with it.  Can't say enough good things about it.  She also has a Roomba and thinks it's great too.

I haven't ever seen either one, and, IMO, they seem a bit OTT.

Saying that, she has 5 kids and has now gone back to work full time, so it saves her doing it when she gets home.  I only work weekends, have a small house and 2 kids, so it isn't a huge problem for me to vacuum, and I leave the mopping to Keith!

I can imagine.

It must be like having a dishwasher and then having to go back to washing by hand.

Do they sell them over here?

I checked on Amazon UK and no Roombas.  I don't think they're made here.  I also checked Ebay UK and the only offerings were US ones with a converter.  I miss my Roomba!

This is an old thread but I saw that Makro sells these.

I WANT ONE!!!! Oh, how my life would benefit from a Roomba. Our two cats shed so much that I have to sweep our hardwood floors on a near daily basis.

I'm off to tell Jon that if he loves me, he'll buy me one. :)
There are two things in life for which we are never truly prepared:  twins.

I just came across a roomba for sale.  £134.  Is that a good price?
