Do they just ask for your pet passport , ? or do they go deeper and ask to see original rabies certificate ?
Our microchip number was wrongly recorded on one of our cats original rabies titer test.
We are being told by our vet ( after she spoke to some higher ups at DEFRA) that they said it would be highly unusual to be asked to produce the original rabies titer certificate.

They say we will just be asked to show pet passport which will reflect the correct microchip number/rabies result. (USDA has said they will stamp it, with proof supplied by our vet)
Please respond if you've been thru pet immigration recently..
Sorry to be hitting this subject so hard , but it has totally destroyed our move schedule!
and we're wondering if, indeed we are sweating it too much!
Plus ca change . . . plus c'est la meme chose.

Do you mean the original rabies certificate or the blood test?  Your post is a bit confusing.

I don't want to worry you, but the microchip number is your "proof" that your animal is the animal that had the rabies jag, blood test, etc..

Hi - Sorry if question was not clear, yes , I'm talking about the " Request for FAVN-OIE Rabies Antibody Test"
this will have a sticker given out by the lab that features the results ,name , microchip number and supervisor's signature. ( our vet sent in same chip number for both cats)
We were told that all other documentation we have ( PETS passport) will match up , but this can't be changed , except with re-do on 6 mos quarrentine...It will, if immigration asks for it, have a certified letter from vet explaining the mixup.
We have been assured by DEFRA that it is unusual for them to ask for the original, and that they would only do this if there was suspicion of somthing being amiss.
Thanks !!
Caroline
