Getting Pet to UK through France??
« on: May 17, 2007, 10:45:51 PM »
The cost of pet travel is criminally confusing.  In 2005, I flew our dog via Continental from the US to the UK for over 1000 dollars (Pet Scheme approved).  I was then diagnosed with a deadly cancer and returned to the US with the dog via Delta for only 100 dollars as check-in-baggage.  I was stunned at this discrepancy.

Now I am trying to get us back over to the UK with the dog, but Delta won't fly animals back to the UK.  Is that logical?

They will I think fly us to France for that cost after Sept. 15th.

Has anyone moved their animal through France to the UK?  My Pet Travel Scheme should still be valid correct?  Any problems with transferring pets from France to the UK?  This just seems like a much more affordable option.

No advice, I'm afraid, Grant. I just wanted to say how good it is to hear from you - and also great news that you're returning to the UK! I hope your health problems are under control. Welcome back!  ;D
