On a different note - the Hampden "Hon" festival was last weekend. I was talking to my sister and could hear the festivities in the background . :)

I'm SO homesick!!!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I can't believe she is only 31.  She looks a bit older than that to me.

I was just talking about that with some friends at lunch today! She looks waaaaay older than 31.

I read an article over the weekend that included an interwiew with the woman whose husband Katie "stole." Interesting stuff. She is one cold and calculating piece of work!

Anyone watching the final tomorrow night? If so, who do you think will win? My vote is Christina.

I have a soft spot for Simon, but I think Christina will win it.

Me too! I miss all of the city festivals! BTW - "First Thursday's" is still going on downtown...I was happily surprised to hear that. There was nice event at the Washington Monument last Thursday night.  :)

I like Simon too!

As for Katie, not sure if you saw when she was talking about "stealing a man" and that it was only 8 out of 10 on the ruthless scale. What???  ::)  I really don't understand how any man would be attracted to her. As for 31...I really find that hard to believe.

I knew he was going to chose that utter pillock Simon.

I used to do the designs of the posters, flags, and flyers for First Thursdays!!!

I didn't watch. Neither of them appealed to me at all.

I am so furious!  I think we were cheated because Suralan obviously had a completely different agenda from the one we were allowed to see!  Christina was so obviously the better candidate so why go through the whole charade if he is going to choose on a completely different set of criteria?
Anyone see the follow-up show where they were nasty to Katie?

Are you a fan of Katie? I saw the show and it was really more about showing some of the nasty comments that Katie had said about the other contestants. The thing is, her catty remarks were so funny! Sir Alan pointed out that they were unprofessional things to say and he would never employ someone who spoke like that.

I'm glad Simon won. Yes, Christina was qualified, but so was Simon ... but in a completely different way. I think Suralan (love that, btw!) was looking for someone he could mold and influence, and Christina is more of a finished product.

I saw the after-show. Anytime a whole theatre full of people joins together to boo Katie is OK in my book!  ;)

He needed a Hooray Henry to push his property, so yeah, in comes Simon.

What a close call....between Christina and Simon. I was torn but in the end I really thought that Christina would have won. That said, I am happy for Simon.

That's the sort of silly thing about the concept of "The Apprentice." They're all vying for a job, but nobody has any idea what that job is until the winner is chosen. Had Christina known it was a real estate job, she might have played it completely differently.

I just watched the after show and wow it was really difficult to watch Christina, she was truly gutted and had to hold herself together.  I hope that maybe Sir Allan can find her a place in his organization because I do believe she could do a great job.

Cheers to Simon...I wish him the best.  :)

Now that its over, I am really going to miss the show.  :(

I think he only chose Simon because he's a man and doesn't have family committments like Christina does. He did speak a lot this year about how he's looking for someone who will give all and who won't bugger off in a few months time. I think Michelle Dewsbury ruined it for any woman who wants to work for him in the future.
There are two things in life for which we are never truly prepared:  twins.
